  The Ultimate Test of A Travel Insurance Plan

The ultimate test of any insurance plan is when you file a claim.  Insurance is the one thing that you hope you'll never have to use but when you do you want it to respond quickly and correctly. 

How do you file a claim?  What information is needed?  How quickly will the company pay?  All of these are good questions but the answer varies with each company and plan that you choose.  In general there are several different coverages that have there own requirements.  Those requirements will vary by plan and by company but they have certain things in common that you should know and that should save you time in filing a claim. 

Remember the biggest cause of delay in filing a travel insurance claim is lack of documentation and failure to follow the travel insurance company's directions.  Make sure you follow their directions and provide them with the information that they request.  It will save you time and hopefully turn a stressful situation into a pleasant experience.
