Baggage Delay
Baggage delay coverage usually provides for reimbursement for the purchase of essential personal items if your bags are delayed at your destination by more than a specific amount of time. The length of delay and the amount of coverage varies by plan so you should check your own plan details. The following items are usually required when submitting a claim:
- Proof from the common carrier that your bags were delayed at least the required number of hours that your plan specifies;
- Purchase receipts for essential personal items that you bought as the direct result of the delay.
