Don't use, don't trust CSA Travel Insurance. They are crooks.

CSA refused to pay my claim, when we had to cancel our trip because my husband was hospitalized from a minor infection about two weeks before the trip. His doctor advised against foreign travel until he was completely better. He has lymphoma but was in remission, which is why we planned a much-needed getaway to Cozumel. Apparently having cancer (or diabetes or any other similar serious ongoing health condition) means that you don't deserve coverage--so all of you who may read this, please take heed! There was no warning on the policy that having a health issue was included in something like, say getting the flu or breaking your leg before the trip. Once again, the insurance companies of America screw people who use them. I plan to file a complaint with the California Better Business Bureau, the California Insurance Commission, and spread the word all over the internet. Too bad you don't have a lower possible rating on this site.

CSA Claim Satisfaction

Due to an unfortunate family medical emergency, we had to cancel our insured trip to South America this past year. CSA requested medical forms from doctor's in Germany where the emergency occurred and although somewhat inconvenient to acquire them, we were able to provide all needed information within a few weeks of cancellation. With no hassle or dispute, CSA reimbursed us for the portion of funds not returned by the airlines and we were thoroughly satisfied with their handling of our claim. I've used this company to insure previous trips as well, and will continue to rely on their professional management of our travel insurance needs.

Great Experience

We bought the insurance in case of a medical emergency in Asia.
Fortunately we had no medical emergencies.
However, My wife's jewelry was stolen from her luggage somewhere during the flight(s) between Denver and Thailand.
After making a claim as per our home owner's insurance policy, I made a claim with CSA. There was no hassle what-so-ever; I simply explained the situation to the claims department and completed the obligatory claim form. I received a check for the maximum policy limit amount in about 7-10 days.
I couldn't be happier with the outcome and with CSA, and plan to use CSA again in the future.

I found the company to be easy to work with and while I think travel insurance in general is overpriced, it does give you peace of mind. Our contact was professional and thorough, but accomplished everything in a timely manner.

I would highly recommend using CSA Travel Protection.

I did not submit a claim so therefore have no rating to provide, but this dumb program does not have a N/A option.

Fine service

When you buy insurance you hope never to have to claim. This time I had to and the process was prompt. They called me to confirm they received the claim and one week later the check was in the mail. The way it should be.
A friend of mine is still fighting her insurance company (AAA) a year and a half after her accident. They just ignore the claim and use all kind of delay tactics.
So find the right one and stick with them.

Good but had to bug

We did not submit claims. My rating is based upon the several times I had to request an actual copy of the policy. We received a summary of coverage right away but I had to ask for the POLICY.

Excellent company!

We've used CSA on every one of our cruises. They offer the best coverage at the best price. On one, ee had a flight cancellation due to weather. We were able to get the same flight the following day but this caused us to arrive in London one day late. We had hotel reservations and forfeited that day. CSA covered it and the rental car to returrn home that night. CSA paid promptly with zero hassle. On another trip we were in Ireland visiting an ancient religios shrine in the country. While in there, thieves broke the car windows and stole Hertz' GPS and my wife's purse. CSA covered everything except my pair of prescription sunglasses. Again, they paid promptly with zero hassle. Doesn't get any better than that!
