Never use Trip Mate

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
I purchased Trip Mate insurance through Isramworld Travel thinking that the insurance was being offered by Isramworld as that is what the paperwork said. I never would have used Trip Mate as, after the fact, I was able to research that company and the reviews are simply awful. We had to cancel our trip as my husband was diagnosed with cancer of the eye resulting in loss of the eye. Three respected physicians in our area stated this was not a pre-existing condition. But Trip Mate denied our claim stating it was pre-existing. From what I read in reviews, everything is deemed pre-existing by them.

Save yourself a lot of heartache and a lot of money. Avoid Trip Mate like the plague and also avoid Isramworld Travel as they are no better.

Waste of time and money

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
I spent time filing a claim for a stolen wallet containing money, phone card, and gift card; filed a police report and called internationally to begin to file this claim; also spoke to an agent step by step when filing claim. When the claim settled I was then told they did not reimburse for lost/stolen cash as there was no prove; I believe they should have explained this policy to me initially my time is worth much more then the time it took to file the claim and the cost of the international call; no I will not use this company again.

Awful, Awful, Awful

You need to update your information - Trip Mate's underwriting company is United States Fire Insurance Company. Worst travel insurance company in business! Everyone should avoid using Trip Mate. They NEVER pay valid claims.

Editors Note: Trip Mate is one of the largest travel insurance administrators in the USA. As such they have thousands of claims each year that they process and pay. To say that they NEVER pay claims is incorrect.
